Braking & Suspension
Suspension setup on the S1000R consists of 45mm topsy-turvy front forks and a mono-shock at the rear. Slowing down is done by 320 mm twin plates with a four-cylinder caliper at the front and a single 220 mm rotor with a single cylinder caliper at the rear. The new S 1000 R has a flex-outline undercarriage that is lighter than before and the motor currently has a stacked bearing component. The cruiser weighs 199 kg which is 6.5 kg less than the previous model. With the optional Dynamics and Comfort package, the new S 1000 R weighs 202 kg.
The bike is hung on a 45mm USD fork and a flexible monoshock. BMW has used a new ‘Flex Edge’ for improved handling. The slower equipment includes double 320 mm front circle and 220 mm back plate with double channel ABS. The 2021 S 1000 R runs on 17-inch wheels with 120/70 front and 190/55 back tires (cast aluminum lugs / 55 rear tire (for carbon wheel)). Design & Style
It is BMW’s leader bare-game bike and is based on the S 1000 RR. In fact, it uses the same motor, framework and swingarm as the RR.
