Indian Chieftain:- The Indian Chieftain Elite is the new special edition version of the regular Chieftain cruiser motorcycle. Featuring a bunch of cosmetic and feature updates over the standard Indian Chieftain, the Chieftain Elite comes with a custom paint job, additional equipment, custom leather seats and lots more. Indian Motorcycles first revealed the bike in 2017, and it being a special edition model, only 350 units of the luxury cruiser will be produced globally, and only a handful of units have been allotted for the Indian market. The bike also gets new dual tone, multi-spoke alloy wheels, adding to the bold design of the bike.
The new Indian Chieftain Elite basic design is carried over from the regular Chieftain, however, the bike gets a bunch of styling updates that sets it apart from the regular model. The biggest visual upgrade is the new bespoke paint scheme, which is called Black Hills Silver and features marble accenting. This marbling process in the paint ensures that no two Chieftain Elite look the same. The bespoke paintwork takes 25 hours to complete, according to the manufacturer. Complementing the colour tone, the bike also comes with a host of chrome details, right from the mirrors to the rear indicator housing.

It gets keyless entry, which is a secure and convenient feature for the riders. The front fender gets the iconic ‘War Bonnet’ and the same covers its brake callipers.
The Chief Classic instrumentation combines modern technology and traditional style. The tank-mounted console has a large, easy-to-read analog speedometer as well as a digital display screen that provides a wealth of valuable ride and fuel data. It gets spacious hard saddlebags which are mounted on quick release anchors and feature remote electronics lock that can be controlled using a mounted button. Engine, Transmission & Performance
The 1,811 cc Thunderstroke 111 V-twin engine that is currently offered with the standard Chieftain range powers the 2018 Indian Chieftain Elite. Having said that, Indian has made some adjustments to the engine for the Chieftain Elite. As a result, the engine produces 161.6 Nm more peak torque at 3,000 rpm than the standard model. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox, with a multi-plate wet grip.
A new model that goes a little bit against the grain has been announced by Indian Motorcycle. It is based on the big Thunderstroke 116-cubic-inch air-cooled V-Twin. The new motorcycle, dubbed the Sport Chief, is not really a cruiser at all but rather a slimmed-down, stripped-down, more urban-focused cruiser. As previously stated, the dependable Thunderstroke 114 engine powers the base-model Indian Chieftain. On the Cycle World in an Indian Springfield Dark Horse model, the larger Thunderstroke 116 powerplant, which previously produced 81.1 horsepower at 4,300 rpm and 117.2 pound-feet of torque at 2,700 rpm, is used in the up-spec machines.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
At this time, no fuel economy figures have been recorded. Chieftain averages 20 km/h, according to ARAI. This bike has a fuel tank capacity of 20.8 liters and can travel up to 416 kilometers on a full tank. The actual mileage may differ depending on driving conditions and riding habits of riders, even though ARAI mileage figures are achieved under ideal test conditions. The 2021 Indian Scout Bobber achieves a combined average MPG of 41.85 with a margin of error of 1.05 MPG using data from 8 vehicles, 231 fill-ups, and 24,819 miles of driving. Some owners claimed to get as much as 52 mpg, while others stated an average of as little as 40 mpg. The typical motorcycle achieves approximately 56.7 miles per gallon, but fuel efficiency varies significantly depending on the type of gearbox that is installed on the vehicle.

For the front wheel, the Indian Chieftain Elite has two 300-mm floating disc brakes with four piston calipers and one 300-mm disc brake with two pistons. The bike has a fuel tank that holds 20.8 liters.
The bike is equipped with a powerful engine that delivers smooth and responsive performance on the road. It also comes with advanced features such as electronic cruise control, keyless ignition, and a premium audio system.
