The new Mahindra Scorpio-N will be available with a 2.0-litre turbocharged m Stallion petrol engine and a 2.2-litre m Hawk turbocharged diesel engine. Both the engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Our sources say that the diesel engine will be offered in two states of tune.
The base variant of the Scorpio-N will get the lower state of tune in which the engine puts out 132 bhp of max power and 300 Nm of peak torque. It will be offered only with a manual gearbox.
In the higher variants, the same Mhawk turbo diesel engine produces 175 bhp of max power and 370 Nm of peak torque. If you opt for the automatic transmission then the torque output is increased to 400 Nm.
