Mercedes-Benz AMG E53 Reviews 2023
The Mercedes-AMG E53 setup is energetic, engaging, and downright engaging to drive, which is why it has consistently received our Editors’ Choice grant from 2019 to 2022. For 2023, it will continue to be offered in car, roadster and cabriolet. Body styles, each of them a wonderful blend of precise designing, refined extravagance and strong execution. The improvements over the standard model start with its straight-six-chamber motor, which is mated to both a turbocharger and electric supercharger and exhibits a decent 429 pull and 384 pound-feet of force.
The E53s ride on an AMG-tuned sport suspension and feature various visual changes, from their extravagant grille to their quad tailpipes, all of which initially lend themselves to more serious reasons. This new Passage level performance model in the E-Class setup looks for some unique AMG treatment related to the scheme, interior and mechanicals. This energetic car is available in six exterior variants. What differentiates the E53 from the regular Benz-branded E-Class is its athleticism, which can be seen, felt and heard.

Despite having the same powertrain, the efficiency of the AMG E53 varies between each of the three body designs. For 2023, the car is rated at 21 mpg city and 29 mpg parkway. Both the car and convertible models achieved a 20 mpg city rating, although the car is rated at 28 mpg parkway while the convertible dropped to 27 mpg. We tried last model year’s Roadster on our 75-mph Parkway efficiency course, and it returned 32 mpg. The last E53 car we tried achieved an additional 32 mpg highway; Both models beat their Administration road ratings by 4 mpg. For more data on the efficiency of E53, visit the EPA’s site.

Comfort
The E53 gets good grades for the build quality inside and its ability to make its passengers feel as if they are strolling into a top-notch cake shop in Paris. The vibrant, upscale lodge is crafted by an assortment of fancy criteria and discretionary elements. The interior is very luxurious as standard, yet keen buyers can further enhance the experience with exotic wood handles, a fragrance sprayer and rubbing front seats. Showy red safety belts are standard entry, although these can be replaced with dark belts at no charge, which we would decide to do.
Infotainment & Connectivity
A massive 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard and supports the outfit’s latest MBUX infotainment framework. The unit can be controlled through a crowd control system that includes a touchpad, wheel-mounted controls and voice command guidance on the center control area. The final option is planned to be a seamless alternative to traditional switchgear, yet our past experiences have failed to demonstrate the value of this innovation. Every E53 also comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Burmester sound system, and remote charging.
