Skoda Fabia: The Škoda Fabia is offered in seven different variants, four of which are gasoline powered while the remaining three are diesel models. Along with the standard 1.2L gasoline and diesel engines, the firm also offers a heavy and powerful 1.6L gasoline engine with the top-tier hatchback model. Ironically, despite being a modern, upscale and intelligent hatchback, it does not come with an automatic variant like many of its rivals. The Fabia is almost completely equipped with state-of-the-art safety features, leaving little room for human error.

Skoda Fabia 2023

Skoda Fabia has introduced the fourth generation Fabia hatchback globally. It uses the VW Group’s smallest modular MQB-A0 platform for the first time and is larger than the previous generation model. The hatchback follows Skoda’s latest design language with large butterfly grille, LED headlights and C-shaped LED tail lamps.

On the inside, it gets black upholstery with copper trim elements. It borrows some design elements from the Kushaq, such as the two-spoke steering wheel and the infotainment system. The fourth-gen Fabia is a petrol-only offering, powered by 1.0-litre MPI, 1.0-litre TSI and 1.5-litre TSI petrol engines that come with manual and DSG gearbox combinations.

Skoda Fabia Features

The Skoda Fabia will be offered in Active, Ambition and Style variants, with the top-spec Monte-Carlo variant coming later. The windscreen and steering wheel get heating function. The cabin gets ambient lighting that has been extended to the dashboard and LED-equipped door handles. There’s also an umbrella in the door card and a dustbin in the door pocket. As an added accessory, Skoda offers a center console extension for the passenger in the back which provides additional storage space.

Engine and drivetrain

The 2023 Skoda Fabia gets a choice of three petrol engines across different states and no diesel. The 1.0-litre MPI and 1.0-litre turbo petrol engines are offered in 64bhp, 78bhp and 93bhp, 108bhp state of tune respectively. Gearbox options are five and six-speed manual and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The top of the line variant will be offered with a 148bhp 1.5-litre EVO TSI engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Interiors

The interior of the car is also quite classy. The cabin is very innovative, and at the same time feels very secure. The spaciousness of the car along with the amazing upholstery definitely makes one feel like they are inside a luxury car. The interior design is based on a dual tone scheme, combined with multi-textured seats to give the car a truly opulent feel.

Fabric options are onyx-gray and ivory. There are smart instrument panel displays on the car that display all the necessary information to the driver. The gear and lever knobs of the car have been given a silver finish which makes it look really sophisticated. There are some hand brake safety knobs which give a really refined look to the overall finish of the car.

Exteriors

The car comes in following colours: Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Cappuccino Beige, Deep Black Pearl and Flash Red. The look of the Fabia is classy, sporty. It also looks quite different when compared to its peers. The halogen headlamps, tight fitting roof and large chrome bar further enhance the broad design of the car.

The side profile is dominated by high wheel arches and large alloy wheels. There are some really cool looking shapes and lines on the bonnet. The chrome finished front grille is certainly one of the coolest parts of the car. The grille also has an attractive vertical finish. The Skoda Fabia also gets body colored ORVMs and door handles. The presence of black foil on the pillars also makes the car look really dashing. The headlights of the car also look particularly attractive, especially since they are right next to the front grille of the car. The taillights have also been designed in a very cool way.

Skoda Fabia Specification

The MQB-A0 platform underpins the new Fabia and has made the hatchback significantly longer and wider and offers a roomier cabin. The overall length of the 2021 Fabia is 4,108 mm and this is the first time the Fabia hatchback has crossed the four meter mark. The wheelbase has increased by 94 mm and is marked at 2,564 mm. The width of the Skoda Fabia has increased by 48mm and measures 1,780mm. The increased dimensions have resulted in more legroom and bigger boot space. The boot space has seen a bump of 50 liters in capacity and can swallow up to 380 liters of storage space. The rear bench can be folded and the cargo space at hand goes up to 1,190-litres.
