LED Headlight

The Vida V1 Pro LED turn indicators and a small smoked visor over the apron mountain LED headlight give it a pretty futuristic look. Additionally, it has a split-seat configuration and sturdy-looking grab rails. The front finish of the Vida V1 Pro features hanging fog lights. The Vida V1 Pro features an open handlebar and an LED headlight unit. The wheels of the scooter are 12 inches. Moving to the rear, you see a comparable scheme theme, with two LED strips joining into one smooth tail-light. Despite the fact that both the batteries were fully charged when we received the scooter, the range calculator never showed more than 100 kilometers. Therefore, we are unsure whether this was accurate or the result of a pre-production error.

Battery

A removable 3.94 kWh lithium-ion battery powers the Vida V1 Pro, which has a range of 165 kilometers, and the V1 Plus, which has a range of 142 kilometers. For both versions, top speed is limited to 80 mph. The Expert variant can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3.2 seconds, while the Plus does it in 3.4 seconds. The split seat of the Vida V1 Pro opens as one unit. Underseat storage is also divided into two sections, the rear (larger) half can hold a little full-face or half-face head protector and the latter can hold a few odds and ends.

Range

Vida V1 Pro has a 3.44 kWh removable battery pack and a 6 kW motor. Its claimed IDC range is 143 km. The V1 Ace gets a slightly larger 3.94kWh removable battery pack and has an impressive IDC range of 165 km. The V1 Pro has a larger battery, 3.94 kWh compared to the 3.44 kWh battery found in the standard Plus model. The Pro claims an IDC range of 165 km on a full charge, while the Plus has a range of 143 km. Claimed 0-60 kmph times are 3.2 and 3.4 seconds respectively. We enjoyed limited time with the Vida, so I can’t comment about accessibility.

Braking

The Vida V1 Pro rides on adaptive front forks and a single back shock. Its slowing device consists of a single wheel brake mounted on combination wheels. Also, the under seat storage capacity of this new electric scooter is 26 liters. It has an adaptive fork and monoshock suspension system, circle brake at the front and drum brake at the rear. The two batteries can be removed from the small front section, leaving little room for documents or anything smaller than a smartphone.

Suspension

The Vida V1 Pro gets an attractive design language with a mix of retro and cutting-edge styling. It includes a sharp looking sash that displays the tilted fog light arrangement which appears to be like a robot. The 12-inch Hegel tires work effectively in providing good grip even in the wet. The reason for the slow speed is a plate brake at the front which is clipped by a Byre caliper. There is a drum handle at the rear to apply the brakes. Braking performance is satisfactory with ample progression and bite.

Design

The Vida V1 Pro is an attractive, very contemporary bike. The bike communicates in a pleasant planning language, yet the build quality of our test model had nothing to do with our experiences from such an old manufacturer. Some of the board’s holes were inconsistent, the switchgear had a very weak touch and pulling the cover back to access the battery seemed like an afterthought.

A bright 7-inch color TFT touchscreen display is right behind, making it easy to see while riding even in direct sunlight. The screen is equipped with Bluetooth, 4G and WiFi, so features like geofencing, following and turn-by-turn routes are possible. A wide, open handlebar with its switchgear is located below the cluster. It has been cleverly combined with a healthy mix of futuristic and traditional.
