About PRIST University
Prof. P. Murugesan started the institution in 1985. The Institute of Computer Science and Technology was its previous name. In order to provide computer instruction to the Thanjavur District, Murugesan created the institute. Bharathidasan University granted the institute affiliation in 1988 so it could provide postgraduate diploma studies in computer applications. After that, it grew to include a Polytechnic College, College of Engineering and Technology, College of Education, College of Arts and Sciences, and College of Engineering and Technology.
The prestigious deemed-to-be university Ponnaiyah Ramajayam Institute of Science and Technology (PRIST University) is situated in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. It was once known as Computer Science and Technology when Prof. P Murugesan founded it in 1985. Candidates are awarded scholarships by PRIST University based on their academic achievement, financial situation, and a variety of other factors.
