Durga Saptashati तीसरा अध्याय – Chapter Third

(सेनापतियों सहित महिषासुर का वध)

जय माँ Durga तेरी सदा ही जय हो ।

दुर्गा सप्तसती के द्वितीये अध्याय में देवी ने महिषासुर के सहयोगी द्त्यो एवं अधिकांश महारथी सहित सेना को नष्ट कर डाला ।महर्षि मेधा ने कहा-महिषासुर की सेना नष्ट होती देख कर, उस सेना का सेनापति चिक्षुर क्रोध में भर देवी के साथ युद्ध करने के लिए आगे बढ़ा। वह (Durga)देवी पर इस प्रकार बाणों की वर्षा करने लगा, मानो सुमेरु पर्वत पानी की धार बरसा रहा हो। इस प्रकार देवी ने अपने बाणों से उसके बाणों को काट डाला तथा उसके घोड़ो व सारथी को मार दिया, साथ ही उसके धनुष और उसकी अत्यंत ऊँची ध्वजा को भी काटकर नीचे गिरा दिया। उसका धनुष कट जाने के पश्चात उसके शरीर के अंगों को भी अपने बाणों से बींध दिया।

धनुष, घोड़ो और सारथी के नष्ट हो जाने पर, वह असुर ढाल और तलवार लेकर (Durga)देवी की तरफ आया ।  उसने अपनी तीक्ष्ण धार वाली तलवार से (Durga)देवी के सिंह के मस्तक पर प्रहार किया और बड़े वेग से देवी की बायीं भुजा पर वार किया । किन्तु देवी की बायीं भुजा को छूते ही उस दैत्य की तलवार टूटकर दो टुकड़े हो गई। इससे दैत्य ने क्रोध में भरकर शूल हाथ में लिया और उसे भद्रकाली देवी की ओर फेंका। (Durga)देवी की ओर आता हुआ वह शूल आकाश से गिरते हुए सूर्य के समान प्रज्वलित हो उठा। उस शूल को अपनी ओर आते हुए देखकर देवी ने भी शूल छोड़ा । और महा असुर के शूल के सौ टुकड़े कर दिए और साथ ही महा असुर चिक्षुर के प्राण भी हर लिये । चिक्षुर के मरने पर देवताओं को दुख देने वाला चामर नामक दैत्य हाथी पर सवार होकर (Durga)देवी से लड़ने के लिए आया । और उसने आने के साथ ही देवी पर शक्ति से प्रहार किया । किंतु देवी ने अपनी हुंकार से ही उसे तोड़कर पृथ्वी पर डाल दिया।

शक्ति को टूटा हुआ देखकर दैत्य ने क्रोध से लाल होकर शूल को चलाया । किन्तु देवी ने उसको भी काट दिया। इतने में देवी का सिंह उछल कर हाथी के मस्तक पर सवार हो गया ।और दैत्य के साथ बहुत ही तीव्र युद्ध करने लगा । फिर वह दोनों लड़ते हुए हाथी पर से पृथ्वी पर आ गिरे और दोनों बड़े क्रोध से लड़ने लगे । फिर सिंह बड़े जोर से आकाश की ओर उछला और जब पृथ्वी की ओर आया तो अपने पंजे से चामर का सिर धड़ से अलग कर चामर का अंत कर दिया । क्रोध से भरी हुई (Durga)देवी ने शिला और वृक्ष आदि की चोटों से उदग्र को भी मार दिया। कराल को दाँतों, मुक्कों और थप्पड़ो से चूर्ण कर डाला।

क्रुद्ध हुई देवी ने अपनी गदा के प्रहार से उद्धत नामक दैत्य को मार गिराया । भिन्दिपाल से वाष्पकल को, बाणों से ताम्र तथा अन्धक को मौत के घाट उतार दिया । तीनों नेत्रों वाली परमेश्वरी ने त्रिशूल से उग्रास्य, उग्रवीर्य और महाहनु नामक राक्षसों को मार गिराया। उसने अपनी तलवार से विडाल नामक दैत्य का सिर काट डाला तथा अपने बाणों से दुर्धर और दुर्मुख राक्षसों को यमलोक को पहुँचा दिया। इस प्रकार जब महिषासुर ने देखा कि (Durga)देवी ने मेरी अधिकांश सेना को नष्ट कर दिया है । तो वह भैंसे का रूप धारण कर देवी के गणों को दु:ख देने लगा।

उन गणों में कितनों को उसने मुख के प्रहार से, कितनों को खुरों से, कितनों को पूँछ से, कितनों को सींगों से, बहुतों को दौड़ाने के वेग से, अनेकों को सिंहनाद से, कितनों को चक्कर देकर और कितनों को श्वास वायु के झोंको से पृथ्वी पर गिरा दिया। वह दैत्य इस प्रकार गणों की सेना को गिरा देवी के सिंह को मारने के लिए तीव्र दौड़ा। इस पर (Durga)देवी को बड़ा गुसा आया। उधर वह दैत्य भी क्रोध में भरकर धरती को खुरों से खोदने लगा । तथा सींगों से पर्वतों को उखाड़-2 कर धरती पर फेंकने लगा ।और मुख से शब्द करने लगा। महिषासुर के वेग से चक्कर देने के कारण पृथ्वी क्षुब्ध होकर फटने लगी । उसकी पूँछ से टकराकर समुद्र चारों ओर फैलने लगा । हिलते हुए सींगों के आघात से मेघ खण्ड-खण्ड हो गए ।और श्वास से आकाश में उड़ते हुए पर्वत फटने लगे। इस तरह क्रोध में भरे हुए राक्षस को देख चण्डिका को भी क्रोध आ गया । और वह उसे मारने के लिए क्रोध में भर गई।

देवी ने पाश फेंककर दैत्य को बाँध लिया । और महिषासुर पाश में बंधने पर उसने भैसे का रूप त्याग दिया ।और सिंह का रूप बना लिया ।और ज्यों ही देवी उसका सिर काटने के लिए तैयार हुई कि उसने पुरुष का रूप बना लिया, जोकि हाथ में तलवार लिये हुए था। देवी ने तुरन्त ही अपने बाणों के साथ उस पुरुष को उसकी तलवार ढाल सहित बींध डाला । इसके पश्चात वह हाथी के रूप में दिखाई देने लगा । और अपनी लम्बी सूंड से देवी के सिंह को खींचने लगा और गर्जने लगा।  देवी ने अपनी तलवार से उसकी सूंड काट डाली । तब राक्षस ने एक बार फिर भैंसे का रूप धारण कर लिया ।और पहले की तरह चर-अचर जीवों सहित समस्त त्रिलोकी को व्याकुल करने लगा । इसके पश्चात क्रोध में भरी हुई देवी बारम्बार उत्तम मधु का पान करने लगी और लाल-लाल नेत्र करके हँसने लगी।

उधर बलवीर्य तथा मद से क्रुद्ध हुआ दैत्य भी गरजने लगा । अपने सींगों से देवी पर पर्वतों को फेंकने लगा। देवी अपने वाणों से उसके फेंके हुए पर्वतों को चूर्ण करती हुई बोली-ओ मूढ़! जब तक मैं मधुपान कर रही हूँ, तब तू गरज ले ।और इसके पश्चात मेरे हाथों तेरी मृत्यु हो जाने पर देवता गरजेंगे। महर्षि मेधा ने कहा-यों कहकर देवी उछल कर उस दैत्य पर जा चढ़ी ।और उसको अपने पैर से दबाकर शूल से उसके गले पर आघात किया । देवी के पैर से दबने पर भी दैत्य अपने दूसरे रूप से अपने मुख से बाहर होने लगा। अभी वह आधा ही बाहर निकला था कि देवी ने अपने प्रभाव से उसे रोक दिया । जब वह आधा निकला हुआ ही दैत्य युद्ध करने लगा तो देवी ने अपनी तलवार से उसका सिर काट दिया। इस प्रकार देवी ने महिषासुर दैत्य का अंत किया ।

इसके पश्चात सारी राक्षस सेना हाहाकार करती हुई वहाँ से भाग खड़ी हुई और सब देवता

अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हुए तथा ऋषियों महर्षियों सहित देवी की स्तुति करने लगे, गन्धर्वराज गान करने तथा अप्सराएँ नृत्य करने लगी।

But on touching the left arm of the goddess, the sword of that monster broke into two pieces. In this, the monster took the shul in his hands in anger and threw it towards Bhadrakali Devi. Coming towards the goddess, that Colum burned like a sun falling from the sky. Seeing that shul coming towards her, the goddess also left the shul. And cut the prince of Maha Asura into hundred pieces and also defeated the life of Maha Asura Chishur. The demon named Chamar came to fight with the goddess, who gave grief to the gods on the death of Chishur. And as he came, he attacked the goddess with power. But the goddess broke it with her hunk and put it on the earth.

Seeing the power broken, the monster turned red with anger and drove the col. But the goddess cut her as well. In the meantime, the lion of the goddess jumped and rode on the forehead of the elephant. And started a very intense battle with the monster. Then both of them fell on the elephant fighting the earth and both started fighting with great anger. Then the lion leaped towards the sky and when he came towards the earth, he separated Chamar from his head with his claw and finished it. The goddess filled with anger also killed Udagra with injuries of rock and tree etc. Powdered Karal with teeth, punches, and slaps.

Enraged, the goddess killed the monster named Uddhat with the attack of her mace. Bhindipal to Vapakkal, arrows to copper and blind to death. The three-eyed Parmeshwari killed the demons Ugrasya, Ugravirya, and Mahahanu with the trident. He cut off the head of a monster called Vidal with his sword and with his arrows brought the evil and evil demons to Yamlok. Thus when Mahishasura saw that the Goddess had destroyed most of my army. So he took the form of a buffalo and started giving grief to the Goddesses.

And she fills in anger to kill him.

Goddess tied the monster by throwing a loop. And when he was tied in the Mahishasura loop, he gave up the form of a buffalo and took the form of a lion. And as soon as the goddess was ready to cut off his head that he took the form of a man, holding a sword in his hand. The goddess immediately tied the man with her sword and shield with her arrows. After this, he started appearing as an elephant. And with his long trunk, he started pulling the goddess’s lion and roaring. Goddess cut her trunk with her sword. Then the demon once again took the form of buffalo and began to disturb all the triloki, including the variable creatures like before. After this, the Goddess, filled with anger, started drinking the best honey again and started laughing with red eyes.

On the other hand, the monster that was angry with Balveeriya and the item also started thundering. With his horns started throwing mountains on the goddess. The goddess, while powdering her thrown mountains with her lips, said, O fool! As long as I am drinking honey, then you should thunder. And after this, the gods will roar when I die. Maharishi Medha said, “Saying this, the goddess jumped up and climbed on the monster.” Pressing it with her foot hit her neck with a prick. Even after being pressed from the feet of the goddess, the monster started coming out of its face in its other form. Just half of it had come out that the goddess stopped him with his influence. When the demon started fighting at half-flown, the goddess cut off her head with her sword. In this way, the goddess ended the Mahishasura monster.
