(देवताओं का देवी की स्तुति करना और देवी का देवताओं को वरदान देना) (Durga सप्तशती ग्यारहवां अध्याय)
जय माँ दुर्गा तेरी सदा ही जय हो । Durga सप्तशती के दसवे अध्याय में सेना सहित महादैत्य शुम्भ का (Durga)देवी द्वारा अंत पढ़ा ।महर्षि मेधा कहते हैं-असुरो के मारे जाने पर इन्द्रादि देवता अग्नि को आगे करके कात्यायनी देवी की स्तुति करने लगे । उस समय अभीष्ट की प्राप्ति के कारण उनके मुख खिले हुए थे। देवताओं ने कहा-हे शरणागतों के दुख दूर करने वाली देवी! तुम प्रसन्न होओ । हे सम्पूर्ण जगत की माता!तुम प्रसन्न होओ। विन्ध्येश्वरी! आप विश्व की रक्षा करो । क्योंकि तुम इस चर और अचर की ईश्वरी हो। हे देवी! तुम ही सम्पूर्ण जगत की आधार रूप हो । क्योंकि तुम पृथ्वी रूप में भी स्थित हो । और अत्यन्त पराक्रम वाली ( Durga )देवी हो । तुम विष्णु की शक्ति हो और विश्व की बीज परममाया हो । और तुमने ही इस सम्पूर्ण जगत को मोहित कर रखा है। तुम्हारे प्रसन्न होने पर ही यह पृथ्वी मोक्ष को प्राप्त होती है।
हे ( Durga )देवी! सम्पूर्ण विद्याएँ तुम्हारे ही अलग-अलग स्वरुप हैं। इस जगत में जितनी स्त्रियाँ हैं, वह सब तुम्हारी ही मूर्त्तियाँ हैं। हे ( Durga )देवी! एक मात्र तुमने ही इस जगत को व्याप्त कर रखा है। तुम्हारी स्तुति किस प्रकार हो सकती है । क्योंकि तुम परमबुद्धि रूप हो ।और सम्पूर्ण प्राणिरूप स्वर्ग और मुक्ति देने वाली हो। अत: इसी रूप में तुम्हारी स्तुति की गई है। तुम्हारी स्तुति के लिए इससे बढ़कर और क्या युक्तियाँ हो सकती हैं । सम्पूर्ण जनों के हृदय में बुद्धिरुप होकर निवास करने वाली, स्वर्ग तथा मोक्ष प्रदान करने वाली हे नारायणी देवी! तुमको नमस्कार है। कलाकाष्ठा आदि रुप से अवस्थाओं को परिवर्तन की ओर ले जाने वाली तथा प्राणियों का अन्त करने वाली नारायणी तुमको नमस्कार है।
हे नारायणी! सम्पूर्ण मंगलो के मंगलरुप वाली! हे शिवे, हे सम्पूर्ण प्रयोजनों को सिद्ध करने वाली! हे शरणागतवत्सला, तीन नेत्रों वाली गौरी! तुमको नमस्कार है । सृष्टि, स्थिति तथा संहारव की शक्तिभूता, सनातनी देवी< गुणों का आधार तथा सर्व सुखमयी नारायणी तुमको नमस्कार है! हे शरण में आये हुए शरणागतों दीन दुखियों की रक्षा में तत्पर रहने वाली, सम्पूर्ण पीड़ाओं को हरने वाली हे नारायणी! तुमको नमस्कार है। हे नारायणी! तुम ब्रह्माणी का रूप धारण करती हो तथा, हंसों से जुते हुए विमान पर बैठती हो । और कुश से अभिमंत्रित जल छिड़कती रहती हो । तुम्हें नमस्कार है । माहेश्वरी रूप से त्रिशूल, चन्द्रमा और सर्पों को धारण करने वाली, हे महा वृषभ वाहन वाली नारायणी! तुम्हें नमस्कार है।
मोरों तथा मुक्कुटों से घिरी रहने वाली, महाशक्ति को धारण करने वाली हे कौमारी रूपधारिणी! निष्पाप नारायणी! तुम्हें नमस्कार है। हे शंख, चक्र, गद फर श्रांग धनुष रूप आयुधों को धारण करने वाली वैष्णवी शक्ति रूपा नारायणी! तुम हम पर प्रसन्न होओ, तुम्हें नमस्कार है। हे दाँतों पर पृथ्वी धारण करने वाली वाराह रूपिणी कल्याणमयी नारायणी! तुम्हे नमस्कार है। हे उग्र नृसिंह रुप से दैत्यों को मारने वाली, त्रिभुवन की रक्षा में संलग्न रहने वाली नारायणी! तुम्हें नमस्कार है। हे मस्तक पर किरीट और हाथ में महावज्र धारण करने वाली, सहस्त्र नेत्रों के कारण उज्जवल, वृत्रासुर के प्राण हरने वाली ऎन्द्रीशक्ति, हे नारायणी! तुम्हें नमस्कार है । हे शिवदूती स्वरुप से दैत्यों के महामद को नष्ट करने वाली, हे घोररुप वाली! हे महाशब्द वाली! हे नारायणी! तुम्हें नमस्कार है।

दाढ़ो के कारण भयंकर (विकराल या डरावने ) मुख वाली, मुण्डमाला से विभूषित मुण्डमर्दिनी चामुण्डारूपा नारायणी! तुम्हें नमस्कार है। हे लक्ष्मी, लज्जा, महाविद्या, श्रद्धा, पुष्टि, स्वधा, ध्रुवा, महारात्रि तथा महाविद्यारूपा नारायणी! तुमको नमस्कार है। हे मेधा, सरस्वती, सर्वोत्कृष्ट, ऎश्वर्य रूपिणी, पार्वती, महाकाली, नियन्ता तथा ईशरूपिणी नारायणी! तुम्हें नमस्कार है। हे सर्वस्वरूप सर्वेश्वरी, सर्वशक्तियुक्त देवी! हमारी भय से रक्षा करो । तुम्हे नमस्कार है। हे कात्यायनी! तीनों नेत्रों से भूषित यह तेरा सौम्यमुख सब तरह के डरों से हमारी रक्षा करे । तुम्हें नमसकर है। हे भद्रकाली! ज्वालाओं के समान भयंकर, अति उग्र एवं सम्पूर्ण असुरों को नष्ट करने वाला तुम्हारा त्रिशूल हमें भयों से बचावे । तुमको नमस्कार है। हे देवी! जो अपने शब्द से इस जगत को पूरित कर के दैत्यों के तेज को नष्ट करता है वह आपका घण्टा इस प्रकार हमारी रक्षा करे जैसे कि माता अपने पुत्रों की रक्षा कार्ती है। हे चण्डिके! असुरों के रक्त और चर्बी से चर्चित जो आपकी तलवार है, वह हमारा मंगल करे! हम तुमको नमस्कार करते हैं।
हे देवी! प्रसन्न होवो । क्योंकि तुम जब प्रसन्न होती हो; तो सम्पूर्ण रोगों को नष्ट कर देती हो और जब रूष्ट हो जाती हो, तो सम्पूर्ण वांछित कामनाओं को नष्ट कर देती हो । और जो मनुष्य तुम्हारी शरण में जाते हैं उन पर कभी विपत्ति नहीं आती। बल्कि तुम्हारी शरण में गये हुए मनुष्य दूसरों को आश्रय देने योग्य हो जाते हैं। अनेक रूपों से बहुत प्रकार की मूर्तियों को धारण कर के इन धर्मद्रोही असुरों का तुमने संहार किया है । वह तुम्हारे सिवा कौन कर सकता था? चतुर्दश विद्याएँ, षटशास्त्र और चारों वेद तुम्हारे ही प्रकाश से प्रकाशित हैं । उनमें तुम्हारा ही वर्णन है । और जहाँ राक्षस, विषैले सर्प शत्रुगण हैं, वहाँ और समुद्र के बीच में भी; तुम साथ रहकर इस विश्व की रक्षा करती हो।
हे विश्वेश्वरि देवी ! तुम विश्व का पालन करने वाली विश्वरूपा हो । इसलिए सम्पूर्ण जगत को धारण करती हो । इसीलिए ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, महेश की भी वन्दनीया हो। जो भक्तिपूर्वक तुमको नमस्कार करते हैं, वह विश्व को आश्रय देने वाले बन जाते हैं । हे देवी! तुम प्रसन्न होओ और असुरों को मारकर जिस प्रकार हमारी रक्षा की है । ऎसे ही हमारे शत्रुओं से सदा हमारी रक्षा करती रहो। सम्पूर्ण जगत के पाप नष्ट कर दो और पापों तथा उनके फल स्वरूप होने वाली महामारी आदि बड़े-2 उपद्रवों को शीघ्र ही दूर कर दो। विश्व की पीड़ा को हरने वाली देवी! शरण में पड़े हुओं पर प्रसन्न होओ। त्रिलोक निवासियों की पूजनीय परमेश्वरी हम लोगों को वरदान दो।

महर्षि मेधा कहते हैं- इस प्रकार देवताओ की भक्तिपूर्वक स्तुति उपरांत देवी ने कहा-हे देवताओं! मैं तुमको वर देने को तैयार हूँ। आपकी जेसी इच्छा हो, वैसा वर माँग लो मैं तुमको वर दूँगी। देवताओं ने कहा-हे सर्वेश्वरी! त्रिलोकी के निवासियों की समस्त पीड़ाओं को तुम इसी प्रकार हरती रहो और हमारे शत्रुओं को इसी प्रकार नष्ट करती रहो। ( Durga)देवी ने कहा-वैवस्वत मन्वन्तर के अट्ठाईसवें युग में दो और महा असुर शुम्भ और निशुम्भ उत्पन्न होगें। उस समय मैं नन्द गोप के घर से यशोदा के गर्भ से उत्पन्न होकर विन्ध्याचल पर्वत पर शुम्भ और निशुम्भ का संहार करूँगी । फिर अत्यन्त भयंकर रूप से पृथ्वी पर अवतीर्ण होकर मैं वैप्रचित्ति नामक दानवों का नाश करूँगी। उन भयंकर महा असुरों को भक्षण करते समय मेरे दाँत अनार पुष्प के समान लाल होगें । इसके पश्चात स्वर्ग में देवता और पृथ्वी पर मनुष्य मेरी स्तुति करते हुये मुझे रक्तदन्तिका कहेगें । फिर जब सौ वर्षों तक वर्षा न होगी तो मैं ऋषियों के स्तुति करने पर आयोनिज नाम से प्रकट होऊँगी और अपने सौ नेत्रों से ऋषियों की ओर देखूँगी।
अत: मनुष्य शताक्षी नाम से मेरा कीर्तन करेगें। उसी समय मैं अपने शरीर से उत्पन्न हुए प्राणों की रक्षा करने वाले शाकों द्वारा सब प्राणियो का पालन करूँगी और तब इस पृथ्वी पर शाकम्भरी के नाम से विख्यात होऊँगी । और इसी अवतार में मैं दुर्ग नामक महा असुर का वध करूँगी और इससे मैं दुर्गा देवी के नाम से प्रसिद्ध होऊँगी। इसके पश्चात जब मैं भयानक रूप धारण कर के हिमालय निवासी ऋषियों महर्षियों की रक्षा करूँगी तब भीमा देवी के नाम से मेरी ख्याति होगी । और जब फिर अरुण नामक असुर तीनों लोकों को पीड़ित करेगा तब मैं असंख्य भ्रमरों का रूप धारण कर के उस महा दैत्य का वध करूँगी । तब स्वर्ग में देवता और मृत्युलोक में मनुष्य मेरी स्तुति करते हुए मुझे भ्रामरी नाम से पुकारेगें। इस प्रकार जब-जब पृथ्वी राक्षसों से पीड़ित होगी तब-तब मैं अवतरित होकर शत्रुओं का नाश करूँगी।

Rather, human beings who have taken shelter in you are able to give shelter to others. You have killed these seditious asuras by wearing many types of idols in many ways. Who could do that except you? Fourteen disciplines, hexology, and the four Vedas are illuminated by your own light. They describe you only. And where there are demons, venomous snakes, and even between the sea; You stay together and protect this world.
O, Vishweshwari Devi! You are the one who follows the world. That is why you wear the whole world. That is why Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh should also be worshiped. Those who greet you devoutly become the one who gives shelter to the world. O, Goddess! May you be happy and protect us by killing demons. Always protect us from our enemies like this. Destroy the sins of the entire world, and the great epidemic of sins and their consequences.

Maharishi Medha says – After devotionally praising the gods, the goddess said – O gods! I am ready to give you a bridesmaid. Ask for a groom as you wish, I will give you a bride. The gods said – O Sarveshwari! You keep beating all the sufferings of the residents of Triloki and destroy our enemies in this way. (Durga) Devi said – In the twenty-eighth era of Vaivasvata Manvantara, two more Maha Asuras Shumbha and Nishumbha will arise. At that time, I will rise from the womb of Yashoda from Nand Gopa’s house and kill Shumbha and Nishumbha on Mount Vindhyachal. Then I will destroy the demons called Vaprititti, having incarnated very fiercely on the earth. My teeth will be as red as a pomegranate flower while devouring those terrible maha asuras. After this, the gods in heaven and humans on earth will call me Raktadantika, praising me. Then when there will be no rain for a hundred years, I will appear in the name of Ionise on praising the sages and look at the sages with my hundred eyes.
Therefore, humans will perform my Kirtan by the name of Shatakshi. At the same time, I will follow all the lives by the guards who protect the life arising from my body, and then on this earth I will be known as Shakambhari. And in this incarnation, I will slay a great demon named Durg and by this I will become famous as Durga Devi. After this, when I take a terrible form and protect the sages living in the Himalayas, then I will have fame in the name of Bhima Devi. And then when the demon named Arun will suffer all the three worlds, then I will take the form of innumerable illusory and kill that great monster. Then the gods in heaven and the people in the dead will praise me by calling me Bhramari. In this way, whenever the earth is afflicted with demons, then I will descend and destroy the enemies.
