यदि आप भी Google Drive गूगल ड्राइव इस्तेमाल करते हैं तो यह खबर आपके लिए बहुत जरूरी है। जीमेल की तरह ही गूगल अपने ड्राइव में बड़ा बदलाव करने जा रहा है। जीमेल की तरह ही अब गूगल ड्राइव की ट्रैश (डिलीट की गई) को 30 दिनों तक ही सेव करके रखेगा और उसके बाद डिलीट कर देगा। इसकी शुरुआत 13 अक्तूबर से हो रही है। आपकी जानकारी के लिए बता दें कि गूगल ड्राइव फिलहाल ट्रैश की फाइलों को भी अनंतकाल तक सेव रखता है।
गूगल ने ड्राइव के इस अपडेट के बारे में अपने एक ब्लॉग में जानकारी दी है। गूगल ने कहा है, ‘हम 13 अक्तूबर 2020 से अपनी रिटेंशन पॉलिसी में बदलाव करने जा रहे हैं जिसके तहत ट्रैश फोल्डर में मौजूद कोई भी फाइल 30 दिनों के बाद अपने आप डिलीट कर दी जाएगी। यह पॉलिसी जीसूट के साथ-साथ जीमेल पर भी लागू होगी।’
गूगल के मुताबिक यूजर को इसका फायदा मिलेगा और वे सिर्फ उन्हीं फाइल्स को डिलीट करेंगे जिन्हें वे वाकई डिलीट करना चाहते हैं। नई पॉलिसी को लेकर गूगल लोगों को जागरूक भी कर रहा है। गूगल जल्द ही इस बदलाव के संबंध में एक बैनर भी यूजर को दिखाएगा।
बता दें कि पिछले महीने ही गूगल ड्राइव में एक बड़ा बग आया था जिसका फायदा उठाकर हैकर ड्राइव का गलत इस्तेमाल कर सकते थे। हैकर्स इस बग की मदद से आपके फोन को भी हैक कर सकते हैं। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया था कि गूगल ड्राइव पर ये फाइल्स इमेज और डॉक्यूमेंट्स के तौर पर हो सकती हैं, हालांकि गूगल ने अब इस बग को फिक्स कर लिया है।
