टेस्ट history of cricket का पहला मैच मेलबर्न में ऑस्ट्रेलिया और इंग्लैंड के बीच 15-19 मार्च 1877 के दौरान खेला गया था । जबकि विश्व में सबसे पहला एक दिवसीय मैच मेलबर्न में, 5 जनवरी 1971 को इंग्लैंड और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच खेला गया था ।

इंग्लैंड को क्रिकेट के खेल जनक माना है । शुरुआत में यह अमीरों का खेल हुआ करता था, लेकिन बाद में इसमें आम लोगों की बढती रूचि के कारण यह पूरी दुनिया में मशहूर होता ही गया । इस लेख के माध्यम से हम विश्व क्रिकेट की शुरुआत से सम्बंधित कुछ रोचक तथ्यों को बता रहे हैं जैसे कि पहला टेस्ट मैच कब खेला गया, पहला विकेट किसने लिया था इत्यादि ।

आइये अब विस्तार से इस बारे में जानते हैं ।

•  पहला क्रिकेट मैच:

टेस्ट क्रिकेट के इतिहास का पहला मैच मेलबर्न में ऑस्ट्रेलिया और इंग्लैंड के बीच 15-19 मार्च 1877 के दौरान खेला गया था । जबकि विश्व में सबसे पहला एक दिवसीय मैच मेलबर्न में, 5 जनवरी 1971 को इंग्लैंड और ऑस्ट्रेलिया के बीच खेला गया था । T-20 क्रिकेट का सबसे पहला मैच ऑस्ट्रेलिया और न्यूजीलैंड के बीच 17 फरवरी 2005 को खेला गया था ।

• पहला टॉस और पहली जीत:

वनडे क्रिकेट में पहला टॉस ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने जीता था और उसने पहले फील्डिंग की थी । इंग्लैंड ने पहले खेलते हुए सिर्फ 190 रन बनाये थे और ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने 5 विकेट खोकर 191 रन बनाकर पहला वनडे जीत लिया था । यह मैच 40 ओवरों का था ।

टेस्ट क्रिकेट का पहला टॉस ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने जीता और उसने पहले बल्लेबाजी करते हुए पहली पारी में 245 और दूसरी पारी में 104 रन बनाये थे । इंग्लैंड को दूसरी पारी में 154 रनों का लक्ष्य मिला था लेकिन वह सिर्फ 108 रनों पर आउट हो गयी थी, इस प्रकार विश्व का पहला टेस्ट मैच ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने जीता था ।

T-20 में पहली जीत भी ऑस्ट्रेलिया के हिस्से में आई थी । ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने पहले T-20 मैच में न्यूजीलैंड को 44 रनों से मात दी थी ।

इस प्रकार ऑस्ट्रलिया विश्व की एकमात्र टीम है जिसने पहला टेस्ट, पहला एक दिवसीय और पहला T-20 मैच जीता है ।

•  सबसे पहला शतक:

टेस्ट क्रिकेट में पहला शतक बनाने का गौरव ऑस्ट्रेलिया के चार्ल्स बैनरमैन को मिला है । बैनरमैन ने पहले ही टेस्ट में 165 रन की पारी खेल कर ये मुकाम हासिल किया था । वनडे क्रिकेट में पहला शतक लगाने का कारनामा डेनिस एमिस ने किया था । एमिस ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ 1972 में वनडे क्रिकेट का पहला शतक जमाते हुए 103 रन बनाए थे ।

• पहली बॉल, पहला रन, पहला विकेट, पहला चौका, पहले 5 विकेट:

वर्ष 1877 में अल्फ्रेड शॉ ने चार्ल्स बैनरमैन को पहली टेस्ट मैच की गेंद फेंकी थी । इंग्लैंड के एलन हिल ने पहला टेस्ट विकेट और पहला कैच लिया था । इंग्लैंड के ब्लैकहम ने पहला स्टंपिंग किया था । ऑस्ट्रेलिया के चार्ल्स बैनरमैन ने पहला टेस्ट क्रिकेट का पहला चौका लगाया था । W.E.मिद्विन्टर ने पहली बार टेस्ट क्रिकेट में पांच विकेट लिए थे ।

वनडे में पहला विकेट लेने वाले गेंदबाज एलेन थामसन थे । थामसन ने वनडे इतिहास का पहला विकेट जेफ्री बॉयकाट को आउट कर लिया था ।

• पहला दोहरा शतक, तिहरा शतक और पहला 400 रन:

टेस्ट क्रिकेट का पहला दोहरा शतक ऑस्ट्रेलियाई बल्लेबाज बिली मरडॉक ने इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ 1884 में बनाया था । मरडॉक ने इस मैच में 211 रनों की पारी खेली थी । टेस्ट क्रिकेट में पहला तिहरा शतक लगाने का कारनामा इंग्लैंड के एंडी सैंडम ने 1930 में वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ 325 रनों की पारी किया था । भारत की ओर से टेस्ट मैच पहला तिहरा शतक (309) सहवाग ने पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ 2004 में बनाया था ।

टेस्ट क्रिकेट में किसी खिलाड़ी द्वारा 400 रन बनाने का रिकॉर्ड वेस्टइंडीज के ब्रायन लारा के पास है । लारा ने इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ 2004 में ये कारनामा किया था । अभी भी टेस्ट क्रिकेट में एक पारी में सर्वाधिक रनों का रिकॉर्ड लारा के नाम ही है ।

वनडे क्रिकेट का में सबसे पहले 200 रन बनाने वाले बल्लेबाज सचिन तेंदुलकर थे । सचिन ने दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ 2010 में 200 रनों की पारी खेली थी । अभी तक सबसे अधिक एक दिवसीय दोहरे शतक (3) बनाने का रिकॉर्ड रोहित शर्मा के नाम है ।

• पहली हैट्रिक:

टेस्ट क्रिकेट में पहली बार हैट्रिक लेने का गौरव ‘फ्रेड्रिक स्पोफोर्थ’ के पास है । फ्रेड्रिक ने इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ 1878 में क्रिकेट इतिहास की पहली हैट्रिक ली थी ।

वनडे क्रिकेट की पहली हैट्रिक पाकिस्तान के तेज गेंदबाज जलालुद्दीन ने 1982 में श्रीलंका के खिलाफ ली थी । T-20 मैच में पहली हैट्रिक लेने का कारनामा ऑस्ट्रेलियाई तेज ब्रेट ली ने किया था । ब्रेट ली ने बांग्लादेश के खिलाफ 2007 में ये कारनाम किया था ।

भारत की ओर से पहली वनडे हैट्रिक लेने का काम चेतन शर्मा ने 1987 में किया था । अभी तक कुल 5 भारतीय गेंदबाज वनडे में हैट्रिक ले चुके हैं । अब तक केवल लसिथ मलिंगा ही वनडे मैच में 3 हैट्रिक लेने वाले अकेले खिलाड़ी हैं ।

• पहले 5 विकेट और एक पारी में 10 विकेट:

क्रिकेट में एक पारी में 5 विकेट चटकाने वाले पहले गेंदबाज बिली मिडविन्टर थे । मिडविन्टर ने पहले ही टेस्ट में 78 रन देकर 5 विकेट चटकाए थे ।

एक पारी में सभी 10 विकेट लेने का कारनामा इंग्लैंड के जिम लेकर ने अंजाम दिया था । जिम ने ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ 1956 में एक पारी में 10 विकेट लिए थे ।

भारत के अनिल कुंबले ने पाकिस्तान के खिलाफ 1999 में एक पारी में 10 विकेट लेने के कारनामे को दोहराया था । कुंबले ने 74 रन देकर 10 विकेट चटकाए थे और पहले भारतीय बने थे ।

• पहले 800 टेस्ट और 500 वन डे विकेट:

पाकिस्तान के वसीम अकरम ने सबसे पहले वन डे में 500 विकेट लिए थे । उन्होंने कुल 502 विकेट लिए थे जबकि श्रीलंका के मुरलीधरन ने 534 वन डे विकेट लिए हैं । श्रीलंका के मुरलीधरन ने टेस्ट मैचों में 800 विकेट लेने का कारनामा भी किया है ।

Who made the first toss, first run and first century in the history of cricket, who, when, where?

The first match in the history of Test cricket was played between Australia and England in Melbourne from 15–19 March 1877. While the first one-day match in the world was played in Melbourne on 5 January 1971 between England and Australia.

England is considered to be the father of cricket. Initially it used to be a game of rich people, but later on due to the increasing interest of common people, it became famous all over the world. Through this article we are narrating some interesting facts related to the beginning of world cricket such as when the first Test match was played, who took the first wicket etc.

Let us now know about this in detail.

First cricket match:

The first match in the history of Test cricket was played between Australia and England in Melbourne from 15–19 March 1877. While the first one-day match in the world was played in Melbourne on 5 January 1971 between England and Australia. The first match of T-20 cricket was played between Australia and New Zealand on 17 February 2005.

First toss and first win:

Australia won the first toss in ODI cricket and they fielded first. England had scored just 190 runs in the first play and Australia had won the first ODI by scoring 191 runs losing 5 wickets. This match was 40 overs.

Australia won the first toss of Test cricket and batting first, they scored 245 in the first innings and 104 runs in the second innings. England had set a target of 154 runs in the second innings but were dismissed for only 108 runs, thus Australia won the first Test match in the world.

The first win in T-20 also came in Australia’s share. Australia defeated New Zealand by 44 runs in the first T-20 match.

Thus Australia is the only team in the world to have won the first Test, first ODI and first T-20 match.

First century:

Australia’s Charles Bannerman has got the distinction of scoring the first century in Test cricket. Bannerman had achieved this position by playing 165 runs in the first Test. Denis Amis did the feat to score the first century in ODI cricket. Amis scored 103 runs against Australia in his first ODI century in 1972.

The first century in T-20 cricket was scored by Chris Gayle of West Indies against South Africa in 2007.

The first ball, first runs, first wicket, first four, first 5 wickets:

In 1877, Alfred Shaw bowled the first Test match ball to Charles Bannerman. England’s Alan Hill took the first Test wicket and first catch. Blackham from England did the first stumping. Australia’s Charles Bannerman made the first fours of Test cricket. W.E. Midwinter took five wickets in Test cricket for the first time.

The first wicket-taker in ODIs was Allen Thomson. Thomson dismissed Geoffrey Boycott for the first wicket of ODI history.

First double century, a triple century, and first 400 runs:

The first double century of Test cricket was scored by Australian batsman Billy Murdock in 1884 against England. Murdock had scored 211 runs in this match. The act of scoring the first triple century in Test cricket was scored by Andy Sandam of England against the West Indies in 1930 with 325 runs. Sehwag scored the first triple century (309) against India in 2004 against Pakistan.

West Indies’ Brian Lara holds the record for 400 runs scored by a player in Test cricket. Lara did this against England in 2004. Lara still holds the record for the most runs in an innings in Test cricket.

The first batsman to score 200 runs in ODI cricket was Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin scored an innings of 200 runs against South Africa in 2010. The record of making the most ODI double century (3) so far is in the name of Rohit Sharma.

First hat trick:

Fredrik Spoforth has the distinction of taking hat-trick for the first time in Test cricket. Fredrick took the first hat-trick of cricket history against England in 1878.

The first hat-trick of ODI cricket was taken by Pakistan fast bowler Jalaluddin against Sri Lanka in 1982. Australian paceman Brett Lee was the first to take a hat-trick in a T-20 match. Brett Lee did this against Bangladesh in 2007.

Chetan Sharma did the work of taking the first ODI hat-trick from India in 1987. A total of 5 Indian bowlers have taken a hat-trick in ODIs so far. So far, only Lasith Malinga is the only player to take 3 hat-tricks in an ODI.

First 5 wickets and 10 wickets in an innings:

Billy Midwinter was the first bowler to take 5 wickets in an innings in cricket. Midwinter had already taken 5 wickets for 78 runs in the Test.

The feat of taking all 10 wickets in an innings was done by Jim Laker of England. Jim took 10 wickets in an innings against Australia in 1956.

India’s Anil Kumble repeated the feat of taking 10 wickets in an innings against Pakistan in 1999. Kumble took 10 wickets for 74 runs and became the first Indian.

First 800 Tests and 500 One Day Wickets:

Pakistan’s Wasim Akram was the first to take 500 wickets in One Day. He took a total of 502 wickets while Sri Lanka’s Muralitharan scored 534 ODIs.

Have a pick Sri Lanka’s Muralitharan has also done 800 wickets in Test matches.
