Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DEPR	• Essential: a. A Master’s Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Mathematical Economics, Integrated Economics Course, or Finance from a recognized Indian or foreign university or institute with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade across all semesters or years. OR b. PGDM or MBA in finance with a cumulative grade point average of at least 55% from a recognized Indian or foreign university or institute. OR c. Master’s degree in any of the subfields of economics, such as agricultural, business, applied, or developmental, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 55 percent from a recognized Indian or foreign university or institute d. (i) Candidates with a Master’s degree and research or teaching experience at a recognized Indian or foreign university or institute are eligible for a reduction in the upper age limit up to a maximum of three years. The probationary period will not count toward experience.
Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR) – DSIM	Essential: a. A Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, or Applied Statistics and Informatics from IIT-Bombay or IIT-Kharagpur with a minimum of 55% or an equivalent grade across all semesters or years. OR b. Master’s degree in mathematics with a minimum of 55% or an equivalent grade across all semesters or years, as well as a one-year postgraduate diploma in statistics or a subject related to statistics from a reputable institute. OR c. M. Stat. Degree from the Indian Statistical Institute with at least 55% overall in all semesters or years. OR d. Jointly offered by ISI Kolkata, IIT Kharagpur, and IIM Calcutta, the Post Graduate Diploma in Business Analytics (PGDBA) requires a cumulative grade point average of at least 55% across all semesters or years.

RBI Grade B Number of Attempts

General Candidates are allowed six attempts to take the RBI Grade B exam, but for SC/ST/PWD/EXSM there is no limit on taking the exams unless they reach an advanced age.
