Information JEE Main Result 2023

The Joint Entrance Examination Main, formerly known as the All India Engineering Entrance Examination, is a computer-based, standardized test used by Indian colleges to admit students to technical undergraduate programs in engineering, architecture, and planning. The National Testing Agency administers the exam for admission to B.Tech., B.Arch., etc. programs at prestigious technical schools like the National Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institutes of Information Technology that are based on a student’s JEE-Main score.

It typically occurs twice annually. The JEE has been conducted entirely online as a computerized test since 2019. The Common Engineering Test, which was previously used for admission to all non-IIT engineering universities, including RECs and IIITs, was formerly used for admission to all non-IIT engineering universities, including RECs and IIITs. The AIEEE was introduced in 2002 because the newly established NIT and IIIT universities wanted an entrance exam paper of a higher standard than the Common Engineering Test. In 2013, it changed its name to JEE-Main.

The exam was administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education in the first week of April in both CBT and pen and paper formats prior to 2018. From 2018 onward, the National Testing Agency only uses CBT to administer it. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the exams for 2020 and 2021 were postponed and held later in the same year. In the entire history of JEE-Main, only in 2021 did students receive a maximum of four attempts. Even though a maximum of three attempts can be made in two consecutive years, most students took the JEE-Main exam in one or two attempts the rest of the year.
