I Love You Movie Review:- I Love You, directed by Nikhil Mahajan and available for streaming on JioCinema, has a 95-minute running time and a very intriguing single-location thriller premise. The movie’s opening gives you the impression that it will be an Indian original with a vibe similar to the Netflix series You. However, the film can’t take the drama to the next level once it gets into the cat-and-mouse game between the main characters; instead, it just stays in the same old survival thriller territory. SPOILER WARNING! We have no idea what these individuals are doing or where they are employed. The film’s main characters are Satya and Rakesh Oberoi, or RO, as Satya refers to him. Vishal, Satya’s boss, is engaged to her. However, RO never told her how much he loved her.
“I Love You” is a heartwarming romantic comedy that explores the ups and downs of relationships in a fresh and relatable way. Starring some of the most talented actors in the industry, this movie is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys a good love story. The plot centers around two individuals who fall in love despite their vastly different backgrounds and personalities. The chemistry between the leads is palpable, and the supporting cast adds depth and humor to the film. One of the standout features of “I Love You” is its excellent writing. The dialogue is witty and natural, and there are many moments that will make you laugh out loud or feel warm and fuzzy inside.

There is a theory that movies have opening shots because they either summarize the main plot points or may play a significant role in the story. Similar is the opening scene of this movie as well. You’ll want to know how Nikhil will pull off this stalker story because of the steady shots, clean frames, and Pavail Gulati’s curious expression. The creepiness level rises by maintaining the film’s visual glossiness when the story is told from the psychopath’s point of view in a sort of flashback setting. However, the film is ultimately a survival thriller, and the writing seemed to be having trouble layering things after a certain point.
In the beginning of the film, Rakul Preet Singh’s performance as Satya exudes a pleasant energy, and she convincingly conveys the emotional roller coaster the character experiences. Pavail Gulati, best known for his role in Thappad, gave the role her all-out conviction. I was kind of reminded of the performance by Dulquer Salmaan in Chup, perhaps because of his physicality. Gulati was able to convey the character’s toxicity without necessarily trying to be gimmicky or loud. That character was also unique because of the minimalism that he maintained in his body language.

I Love You Movie Review
Nikhil Mahajan, who has written and directed numerous Marathi films, makes his Hindi film debut with a 94-minute thriller that is influenced by similar 1990s films like “Darr” and “Anjaam.” Despite the fact that popular songs like “Tu Mile Dil Khile” and “Rooth Na Jana Tumse Kahoon Toh,” among others, convincingly convey the nostalgic atmosphere of the time, the movie does not provide a truly chilling experience when compared to other films in the same genre. The story benefits from strong performances that leave an impression, despite being predictable.
The story begins quickly and focuses primarily on Satya (Rakul Preet Singh), a strong, independent corporate woman who has recently been proposed to by Vishal (Akshay Oberoi), her boyfriend and colleague. Satya is unable to get in touch with Vishal or her driver, who was supposed to take her to the airport, as the departure time approaches for the couple’s Diwali vacation. She realizes that she is trapped within the building’s walls and alone as she tries to get out on her own.
Satya, running out of options and in a panic, calls her close friend and coworker Rishabh Oberoi, also known as RO (Pavail Gulati), who works in the technical department of the same office. When RO comes to help her, they find a dead body—and more as the night goes on—and their situation takes a bad turn. As she fights to survive this tragic night that has the potential to alter everything, Satya’s life is forever altered.
As RO, Pavail Gulati delivers a strong performance that convincingly conveys the shadowy undertones of his character. His performance during the song “Jumma Chumma De De” is simply outstanding, and he keeps the audience on its toes. Rakul Preet Singh goes to great lengths to tap into her survival instinct, navigating panic and doubt with skill. The incredible performances of Gulati and Singh keep viewers riveted to the screen. In his limited role, Akshay Oberoi makes his presence felt.
In this conclusion, “I Love You” is a heartwarming romantic movie that will leave you feeling warm and fuzzy inside. The film tells the story of two star-crossed lovers, played by A-list actors, who meet by chance and fall deeply in love. The chemistry between the two leads is undeniable, and their on-screen romance is both believable and touching. The movie’s storyline is well-crafted and keeps you engaged from start to finish.
