Kacchey Limbu movie review: Radhika Madan, Rajat Barmecha star in a fine film about the burden of dreams

Kacchey Limbu movie review:- Shubham Yogi’s Kacchey Limbu, starring Radhika Madan, is not a film that can confidently claim to be unique. The movie’s format is pretty clear from the trailer itself, and it’s a typical tale about an underdog. The film, on the other hand, is enjoyable because it emphasizes the content’s overall sweetness without overdoing it. Kacchey Limbu is a lighthearted motivational drama with charming performances that give the simple concept a little more depth.

Aditi and Akash are identical twins. They are both extremely enthusiastic about cricket. After cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar shared it, a video of Akash scoring sixes in gully cricket went viral on social media. However, these two’s parents wanted their children to work in the traditional industry. Aditi kept her lack of interest in dance and MBBS a secret from them; on the other hand, Akash constantly argued with them and fought for what he loved. Because of this difference of approach, Akash put Aditi under pressure to form her own team for the gully cricket tournament. Therefore, Akash must apply for a conventional job if Aditi wins. The film depicts the tournament’s progress against the backdrop of this intriguing family drama.

Kacchey Limbu movie review

The story of every middle-class family with unspoken passions is Kacchey Limbu. Radhika Madan plays Aditi, who is talented and brave for the outside world. She, on the other hand, embodies papa ki agyaakari beti in every room of her house. Her older brother, Rajat Barmecha (Akash) of Udaan fame, is a gully cricket star who is most passionate about cricket. Ayush Mehra (Kabir), a celebrity on social media, is also an outstanding member of the gully cricket team. It is not an easy task to compete on a national level. As a result, Akash’s father, played by Mahesh Thakur, is contacting his sources to get his son a job interview from 9 to 5. But no. Akash openly challenges his sister to form a team of her own and defeat him in a game because he only wants to retire from cricket. He will only sit for an interview if that happens.

Kacchey Limbu is definitely worth checking out. The film tells the story of a young boy named Baccha who has been diagnosed with dyslexia and struggles to fit in at school. Despite facing many challenges, Baccha’s spirit remains unbroken, and he finds solace in his love for cricket. The performances in the movie are outstanding, particularly by the young actor playing Baccha. The cinematography is also beautifully done, capturing the scenic beauty of Sikkim in all its glory. The film’s soundtrack is another standout feature, with a mix of traditional and contemporary music that perfectly complements the story. Whether you’re a fan of coming-of-age stories or simply looking for an engaging film to watch with your family or friends, this movie is definitely worth a watch.

Kacchey Limbu review

Kacchey Limbu, the debut feature film from Shubham Yogi, had its world premiere earlier this year at the Toronto International Film Festival 2022. It is currently available for online viewing. Yogi, as a writer, has created a lighthearted, upbeat entertainer that will undoubtedly leave you with a smile on your face by anchoring it with a compelling story about two siblings balancing their dreams with their parents’ expectations.

The main character of the story is Aakash Nath (Rajat Barmecha), who is the best cricketer in the neighborhood and has recently become a viral sensation for his achievements in society cricket. He is a 26-year-old man who does not want to work for a company and wants to play cricket for the Indian team. His more youthful sister, Aditi (Radhika Madan), isn’t exceptionally engaged throughout everyday life and misses the mark on objective to take a stab at. As a result, she does as instructed: enrolls in Bharatnatyam for her mother, prepares for her father’s medical entrance exams, and declares an interest in fashion design for her friend’s sake. But her obsession with cricket is the only thing that gets her going.

His family is not very pleased when Akash finally gets the opportunity to be the face of the upcoming underarm cricket league and wishes for him to settle into a corporate job. Akash is hurt by their reaction and randomly challenges Aditi to form a team and compete against him in the local tournament. If Aditi wins, he will look into the corporate route that everyone wants him to take so badly. When Aditi accepts the challenge, the plot thickens and the main conflict shifts to proving your sibling wrong.

Anyone can relate to this well-written sibling dynamic—they can’t stand each other but always have their backs to the wall. Aditi by Radhika Madan is sweet and charming. The story is about how she came to know herself and gained the self-assurance to live her own life. Akash, Aditi’s older brother, is played by Rajat Barmecha, who is a great supporting character for her. The tug-of-war between rivalry and love between siblings is perfectly executed by Madan and Barmecha, and Madan and Ayush Mehra’s chemistry eases us into their eventual roles as teammates. Although Mehra plays Kabir with charm, his character is poorly developed. However, the three actors spend a lot of the movie competing against one another in games that are quite entertaining.

In this conclusion, Kacchey Limbu is definitely worth a watch. This coming-of-age story follows a young boy named Baccha who has been diagnosed with dyslexia. The film does an excellent job of exploring the challenges that Baccha faces both at home and in school, as well as the impact that his condition has on his relationships with his family and friends. Director Prasad Oak has done an excellent job of balancing the emotional weight of the story with moments of levity and humor, making for a truly engaging viewing experience. The performances are top-notch across the board, particularly by Ravi Jadhav who plays Baccha’s father.

Kacchey Limbu is a heartwarming coming-of-age story that follows the journey of a young boy named Baccha and his relationship with his parents. The film explores themes of adolescence, family dynamics, and identity in a way that is both relatable and poignant. The performances by the cast are exceptional, particularly by Ravi Jadhav who plays Baccha’s father. The film’s cinematography captures the beauty of the Konkan region where it was shot, adding to its overall charm. Overall, Kacchey Limbu is a must-watch for anyone looking for a touching and thought-provoking film that will leave you feeling uplifted.
