OnePlus Bullets Z2 Wireless Neckband Review: Although the OnePlus 10 Pro was the main focus of the company’s most recent launch event, a new device in its Bullets line of wireless audio was also introduced. The Bullets models feature a more conventional design with earpieces connected to each other through a band, in contrast to the Buds series of completely wireless headphones. In the era of genuine wireless earphones, this design may appear out of date, but OnePlus’ most recent wireless neckband headset wants to attract customers with its emphasis on doing the fundamentals well.
In addition to launching the OnePlus 10 Pro, the firm also unveiled a new product in its Bullets series of wireless speakers. In contrast to the Buds series of entirely wireless headphones, the Bullets models have a more traditional design with earpieces linked to one another by a band. This design might seem outdated in the era of truly wireless earbuds, but OnePlus’ most recent wireless neckband headset aims to draw users in with its focus on performing the basics well.

Design and build
Design-wise, not much has changed since last year. With very few, but important, changes in some places, the new OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 resembles the previous model almost exactly. The magnetic backs on the two earpieces, which are attached to one another to stop the music, are present. The song starts playing as they are being separated. This is a useful function, however it can also cause issues occasionally, especially when travelling when the earphones are stored in a bag or backpack. There is no pouch to safely store the earphones.
For right-handed people, the volume and power buttons’ left-side location can be a little awkward. It was a little too difficult to change the volume with the earbuds unless the phone was away, therefore I always used the phone instead of the earphones. Users will need several tries to become used to the left-aligned buttons. The USB Type C port is also available for charging.
The Bullets Wireless Z2 shares certain other characteristics with its predecessor in terms of design. It has a strong, simple design and an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance. It is available in black, blue, and red with a hint of crimson around the buttons. Personally, I prefer the black one because it has a classy appearance that is uncommon in this price range.

Fit & connectivity
Two of the most crucial factors customers take into account when purchasing a new set of earbuds are fit and comfort. The Bullets Wireless Z2 differs from most earphones at this price point in that it offers a decent fit and comfortable experience. Even during workouts or when taking a long walk, the earbuds fit snugly and stay in place. Three different ear tips are included with the Bullets Wireless Z2.
For wireless connectivity, it has Bluetooth 5 with support for the SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. Connecting the phone to the Bullets Wireless Z2 is quite simple. Go to Settings and pair the Bullets Wireless Z2 with the phone after turning on the headphones and turning on Bluetooth on your phone. Both Android and iPhone devices can use it without any issues.
Around 30 feet is the Bluetooth range between the devices, which is typically typical for most earphones at this price point. Therefore, it is preferable to bring your phone with you when moving from one room to another.

Audio quality
Although the Bullets Wireless Z provides decent audio for the money, the Z2 is significantly superior. The older Bullets and the new Bullets are significantly different from one another thanks to their larger 12.4mm drivers. The Bullets Wireless Z2 maintains a respectable level of detail and clarity while sounding a little punchier and more driven. SBC and AAC are the two audio codecs it supports.
Comparing the new drivers to the older ones, the larger ones offer incredible volume levels. Even at about 40% to 50% volume, The Bullets’ music is impressively loud. I hardly ever had to turn up the volume to 70% or 80%. The buds sounded screechy and missing details at these higher volumes.
Although noise cancellation is not a feature of the Bullets Wireless Z2, turning up the volume helped to drown out obtrusive background noise. In the office was when I had to do this the most. At home, turning down the volume by 40–50% helped eliminate extra noise.
For earphones with such a low price tag, the call quality was pleasantly surprising to be rather good. The calls were clear, both indoors and outdoors, and the callers’ voices and details were audible in every situation. No of the circumstance, the neckband microphone also seemed to perform very well for me.

Battery
Although OnePlus advertises that the Bullets Wireless Z2 delivers 30 hours of listening time, I only managed to get about 22 hours at a volume level between 40 and 50%. The charging cable included in the box and support for fast charging are the best features. The Bullets Wireless took about 25 minutes to fully charge. When it comes to battery life and charging, the Bullets Wireless Z2 is among the top wireless neckbands available for the money.
Conclusion
Regarding audio quality, the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 provides a well-rounded music experience. However, we both agree that the excessive bass slightly ruins the fun. We had trouble using the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 for more than a few hours because the neckband was bulkier this time. There aren’t many solutions available at this pricing that we can suggest. But at this price, we’re certain that the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z2 is the only option you have.
