Realme C55 Review
Realme C55 is definitely worth considering. This phone offers great value for its price range, with features like a large HD display, a long-lasting battery life, and a decent camera. The phone’s sleek design and smooth performance make it stand out from other smartphones in its price category. However, it’s important to note that the phone does have some limitations – such as limited storage space and slower processing speed – which may be a dealbreaker for some users. Overall, if you’re looking for an affordable smartphone that delivers solid performance without breaking the bank, the Realme C55 is definitely worth checking out.
ealme C55 is definitely worth considering. This budget-friendly device offers impressive features and performance for its price point. The phone boasts a large 6.72-inch display, an octa-core processor, and a triple-lens camera system that delivers excellent image quality. It also has a long-lasting battery life and comes with Android 11 pre-installed. Users have praised the phone’s sleek design and comfortable grip, as well as its fast charging capabilities. However, some have noted that the device can sometimes experience lag or slow down when running too many apps at once. Overall, the Realme C55 is a great option for those looking for an affordable yet powerful smartphone.
Build & Design
The Realme C55 features a fresh, brilliant design aesthetic that is both attractive and expensive-looking. Sunshower and Rainy Night are the two intriguing colours that are offered. For the review, we had the Sunshower variation, and in person, the colour is very stunning. When the light reaches the back, a projection that resembles a rainbow is visible. The gadget is comfortable to hold, and it attracts attention when set on a table with the back facing up. The phone is all plastic, and even though it feels slick in your hands, it comes with a protection.
Regarding the device’s overall weight, Reame has once again performed admirably by accommodating a massive 5000 mAh battery while maintaining a weight of less than 200 grams. To be precise, the item weighs approximately 189.5 grams. After looking into it further, we see a USB Type-C (USB 2.0) port on the base, alongside the 3.5mm earphone jack – praise to Realme for not forgetting about it. Additionally, we have a microphone for voice input and a single speaker on the bottom. The hybrid sim slot can accommodate both a micro-SIM card (SD) and a dual nano-SIM card on the left side. If you choose the device’s base model, which only has 64 GB of onboard storage, this is a nice feature.

Display & Sound
The device has a 6.72-inch (17.07 cm) 90Hz Full HD + IPS LCD display with a peak brightness of 680 nits and a resolution of 2400 x 1080. Realme hasn’t made any major concessions when it comes to the IPS-LCD display on the device, and the panel is quite good. Except for the chin area, the display supports a maximum of 16.7 million colors and has very thin edges.
Performance, RAM, and Storage
The Realme C55 is powered by the system-on-a-chip (SoC) MediaTek Helio G88. On paper, the processor may appear to be out of date, but that is not the case. It will be available in the third quarter of 2021. The BigLittle-based chip, which was introduced as an upgrade to the Helio G85, has an octa-core CPU with two Cortex-A75 cores running at up to 2.0 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 1.8 GHz. The device’s processor is produc using 12 nm FinFET manufacturing technology. On the GPU side, there is the Mali-G52 MC2 GPU, which is fit for taking care of present day games and different designs escalated errands.
The SoC is paired with 1800 MHz LPDDR4X dual-channel memory and eMMC 5.1 storage for the RAM and storage. Additionally, dynamic RAM expansion is supported, allowing you to sacrifice storage space to increase your physical memory by up to 8 GB. It would have been nice if Realme had chosen UFS-based storage, which is much faster than eMMC, but we are unable to comment on the price.

Camera
Another outstanding component of this device is its cameras. There are two cameras on the Realme C55. The primary camera is identical to the one found in the Realme GT Master Edition and has a resolution of 64 megapixels. A B&W sensor with a resolution of 2 Megapixels lies beneath, and it is use to enhance color and depth in photos. We would have preferred to see a telephoto or macro camera instead because honestly, the 2MP sensor is pretty useless.
The essential camera is an Omnivision 64MP, which is really great for making nitty gritty efforts. While the camera functions admirably in great lighting conditions and outside, it battled inside and in low-light circumstances and scarcely worked by any means. The gadget has a committed night mode, yet even in this mode, the photos are not usable. Realme needs to put in a lot of effort into the cameras, fine-tune the software, and improve post-processing, HDR, edge detection in portrait mode, and shooting in low light.
Network & Connectivity
With the send off of Realme C55, the brand has made a few striking strides and made numerous enhancements to stand apart from the opposition, similar to the presentation of a full HD show with a revive pace of 90Hz, poke hole camera in the middle, 33W SuperVOOC charging and numerous other key upgrades that calculate for the general client experience. Despite the fact that the absence of 5G support may appear to be a disappointment to some, the device’s price and features do not make it a major disappointment.
The Realme C55 has Bluetooth 5.0, which gives us features like the ability to connect two devices at once, low latency, and a larger area of coverage. We are accustom to seeing support for single-band Wi-Fi on budget and mid-range devices, so the device’s support for dual-band Wi-Fi is a welcome change. With dual 4G VoLTE support and Wi-Fi calling, calling indoors with low signal reception should go without a hitch. We didn’t have any coverage or latency issues at all, and the Wi-Fi speeds are good. The Realme C55 only has one microphone, but the quality is good enough that the person in front of us could hear us clearly without sounding mushy.

Software &Updates
On the product side, the Realme C55 ships with the pristine Realme UI 4.0, which depends on Android 13 out of the crate. An update that included the most recent security patch released in March 2023, as well as a few bug fixes and performance enhancements, was already waiting for us when we first set up the device. The Realme UI 4.0 is a vigorously clean rendition of Android and may appear to be very unique from stock Android. However, it retains some of Android 13’s fundamental features, such as improved Material You support, more recent widgets, a number of privacy features, and improvements to the hardware.
We were curious about the device’s update support and lifecycle during the launch event, so we contact the team directly and were informed that the device will receive two years of Android OS updates (Android 14 and Android 15) and three years of security updates. We think this is a pretty impressive thing for a budget device at its price point.
Battery & Charging
The Realme C55 has a massive 5000 mAh battery and a 33W SuperVOOC charger (the charger is includ in the box with the device). In our tests. The device was able to charge from 0% to 50% in about 25 minutes, while a full charge from 0% to 100% took about 1 hour and 15 minutes. This is a big improvement over the old 10W/15W charging speeds.
Because it is based on 12nm FinFET fabrication technology, the MediaTek Helio G88 processor uses less power. As a result, it has a long battery life without sacrificing performance or efficiency. The device has been shield from heat during charging by Realme. There is even an exceptional switch for enhanced evening charging under the battery settings in the settings application that limits charging to 80% and keeps on charging the gadget in the first part of the day, contingent upon use designs.

- Rs. 11,999 for the 6GB RAM & 64GB Storage

Verdict
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a budget phone from a reputable brand like Realme that offers good value for money, a full HD+ display, decent cameras, and a clean user interface, we recommend purchasing this phone. On the off chance that that is the situation, you’ll be content with the Realme C55 except if you are searching for a gadget with 5G capacities.
The Realme C55 has decent cameras, good performance, and a design that will appeal to most people. The bloatware situation, while not significant, is acceptable. There are no ads on the UI. Realme actually needs to work a piece on the product to fix the UI issues and streamline the camera a piece. If not, you can go with the Redmi 11 Prime 5G, which comes with dual 5G support and is slightly more well-equipped.
Conclusion
In this conclusion, Realme C55, here is a helpful conclusion based on reviews from experts and users. Overall, the Realme C55 is a solid budget smartphone with a sleek design and decent performance. Users have praised its long battery life and fast charging capabilities, making it convenient for everyday use. However, some users have noted that the camera quality could be improved and that there may be occasional lag or slow performance when using multiple apps simultaneously.
