The Vivo V29e smartphone features a curved back and the slimmest 3D curved display on the front. On the back, it displays two elliptical camera islands that contain a dual rear camera system. Regardless of your opinions regarding curved displays, the Vivo V29e prominently has one. The V29e is easy to hold and slim enough to be used with one hand. It strikes a balance between being substantial without growing hefty at 180.5g.
The back design offers a distinctive finish, especially in the Artistic Blue variant that we used. A diamond pattern is produced on the back by the Glossy Matte Splicing texture. Vivo V29e will surely capture your eye if you enjoy a dual-texture finish. There are two colour options: artistic red and artistic blue, with the latter being the colour of my review unit.
The smartphone has a typical design, with the SIM tray, speaker grill, and USB-C connector all being at the bottom. The power button and volume rockers are located on the right side, while the top and left sides are empty. Content seen on websites like YouTube seems vivid and detailed thanks to HDR10+ support. The display maintains realistic colours during normal use. The screen is still clearly visible even in direct sunshine, and the colour reproduction is remarkable. The display’s 6.78-inch size ensures that it lives up to its big dimensions and provides a pleasurable video-watching experience. On the Vivo V29e, you can enjoy yourself while playing games, browsing the internet, watching videos, or reading. The overall experience is made more fluid and seamless by the 120Hz refresh rate.
Processor
Moving on to the internals, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset and 8GB of RAM power the Vivo V29e. Both of the device’s storage options—128GB and 256GB—are sufficient to handle the needs of the Android operating system. The Snapdragon 695 works well in general use. It controls moving between apps, multitasking, and even some games with ease. The phone generally displayed speed and responsiveness once everything was in place, despite a few instances of animation stuttering, especially during the initial setup.
