Sidharth Malhotra was conceived and grew up in Delhi, India into a Punjabi Hindu family, to Sunil, a former captain in the Merchant Navy, and Rimma Malhotra, a homemaker. Sidharth Malhotra was schooled at Delhi’s Don Bosco School and Naval Public School, and graduated from Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi. At the age of 18, he started modelling. In spite of fact that he was successful, he decided to quit after 4 years because he was dissatisfied with the profession.
Later that year, Sidharth Malhotra performed at a charity event with Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor, and Huma Qureshi to collect money for the flood victims in Uttarakhand. Dhawan, Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor, and Qureshi were also there. Along with Johar, the actors Dhawan, Bhatt, Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif, Parineeti Chopra, and the musician Badshah, took part in the Dream Team 2016 tour in August 2016, performing in various American cities.
