Benelli

In 1911, the six Benelli brothers Giuseppe, Giovanni, Francesco, Filippo, Domenico and Antonio, known as “Tonino”, repaired and manufactured motorcycle parts. The first real Benelli motorcycle, a 175cc model, ridden by Tonino, proved immediately to be a winner in the world of competition. Here began a long list of glorious moments, with more than 1000 victories in the Italian and European Championships and two World Titles won in 1950 and 1969.

Benelli

At the end of the 60s the last motorcycle of the family owned company was born; the Tornado 650 which developed 49bhp at 7000rpm, and easily surpassed 170kmph. In 2001 the production of the first all new in-line triple powered range began, with the fully-faired supersport Tornado 899cc Limited Edition. The addition of the Tornado Naked Tre or TNT for short, and subsequently the Tre-K in both 899cc and 1131cc variants meant that it’s was truly back in the market of large capacity sports motorcycles.

Benelli 600i

Benelli 600i

TNT 600i is a middleweight streetfighter motorcycle which was launched along with four other Benelli models in March 2015. Pitted against the Kawasaki ER-6n, Hyosung GT 650N and the Ducati Scrambler, the TNT 600i is one of the first 600cc four-cylinder motorcycles in India.

About TNT600i BS4

The TNT 600i is built around a composite chassis made of steel trestle in the front and an aluminium section at the rear, which links the offset monoshock. The TNT 600i is powered by the same 600cc inline-four engine which is used in the TNT 600GT. This liquid-cooled engine is equipped with electronic fuel injection and delivers 82bhp and 52Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission.

The upside down Marzocchi front forks and an adjustable Sachs offset monoshock suspension setup for the TNT 600i has been borrowed from the bigger TNT motorcycles. Braking hardware for the 17-inch wheels is made up of twin 320mm floating discs at the front and a single 240mm disc in the rear.

Being an entry-level middleweight motorcycle, the TNT 600i doesn’t really get many electronic aids, though its competition isn’t any better off either. ABS is available as an optional extra. Its bold Italian styling and the lucrative price tag make the TNT 600i a very enticing package. The TNT 600i is available in three paint schemes – Rosso (red), Bianco (white) and Nero (black).

Benelli TNT 300 is expected to launch in India in December 2023 in the expected price range of ₹ 3,20,000 to ₹ 3,40,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to TNT 300 are BMW G 310 R, Honda CB300R & CFMoto 650NK. Another bike similar to TNT 300 is Yamaha MT 03 which is launching in October 2023 in India.

The Benelli TNT 300 is a naked roadster motorcycle from the Chinese-owned Italian brand that rivals the likes of KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 R, and the Honda CB300R. The 2021 iteration of the motorcycle is already available in select international markets where it gets revised styling and an updated engine with higher displacement than its predecessor.

The mechanical specifications on the international-spec Benelli TNT 300 include a 300cc, parallel twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that delivers 37bhp at 11,000rpm and 25.62Nm of peak torque at 9,000rpm. We expect the India-spec model to pack similar numbers.

The revised styling includes a new design for the headlight, a body-coloured front fender, muscular fuel tank, step-up saddle, split-style pillion grab rail, and a side-slung exhaust. The feature list on the international model comprises full-LED lighting and a digital instrument cluster. The India-bound model should retain all the aforementioned features.

The suspension setup on the motorcycle comprises upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock. The anchoring tasks are handled by twin, petal-type discs at the front and a single, petal-type rotor at the back while the safety net includes dual-channel ABS.
