Happiness is only real when shared – is this true?

Happiness is only real when shared- Since the days leading up to my trip, the topic of happiness has always bothered me; it was one of the reasons I set out in the first place. However, I wasn’t expecting to find the answers there. In the past, I have been lulled into thinking that happiness is something I find as I navigate life and accomplish the objectives I set for myself. However, as I reflect on my 50 days of solo backpacking through Europe, I made the decision to record my most joyful experiences in the back of my travel journal. This is what I realized: The phrase “Happiness is only real when shared” emphasizes the importance of human connection and relationships in our lives.

While it is possible to experience moments of joy and contentment alone, true and sustainable happiness is often found in our relationships and connections with others. Sharing our experiences with others allows us to create and strengthen bonds with those around us, and research has shown that strong relationships can have a positive impact on our mental and physical health. So if you’re looking to increase your happiness, consider reaching out to friends and loved ones to share in your experiences and create memories together.

The phrase “happiness is real only when shared” is often used because it highlights the importance of interpersonal connections in our lives. What do we misunderstand happiness with?

We keep doing it, believing that material possessions provide us with happiness, forgetting that true happiness is within us. obtaining a high salary, living in villas, attending parties every weekend, and so forth. We mistake many things for happiness when in fact they are not. I do not dispute the fact that these things do not bring us joy. However, this is a brief moment of joy; We cannot deny that once we become accustomed to these things, it becomes nothing more than a useful material.

Why is it always said that happiness is real only when shared?

The idea that happiness is only real when shared is rooted in the fact that human beings are social creatures. When we experience something positive or joyful, our natural inclination is to share it with others. Sharing our happiness with others not only reinforces the positive emotions we are feeling but also strengthens our relationships with those around us. Lonely individuals or those who lack a sense of social connection often struggle to experience and sustain feelings of happiness. Sharing our happiness can also help us maintain a positive perspective, as we are reminded of the good things in life and the people who support and care for us. So, the next time you experience a moment of joy or contentment, consider sharing it with a loved one, friend, or even a stranger – it just might make the happiness even more real and meaningful.

So, happiness alone is not true if we are content? This is not entirely accurate, no. It is very important to be happy by yourself. We can’t always rely on others to bring us happiness. Sometimes we have to look for and make our happiness. However, sharing our happiness is very different from being happy alone.

Let’s understand with a small example-

There is my seven-year-old niece. She never eats by herself. When somebody gives her something to eat, she gives a nibble to everybody other than her. Now, how could we possibly consider this happiness? We certainly can.

She was raised with these morals, which made it impossible for her to keep secrets. It involves more than just food and other things; It concerns values. Sharing food makes her happy because she never feels happy eating on her own.

How can we share happiness?

There is a saying that says if we share our joy, it becomes double, and if we share our sorrow, it becomes half. This cannot be true for all people. It’s possible for someone to feel uneasy about expressing their joy or sorrow to others. It’s possible that introverts don’t like to talk about much. The best way to define sharing happiness and sorrow is up to each individual to decide.

Sharing does not imply that we should share with everyone everything that makes us happy. We ought to also know what to share. And with whom should we discuss it? For that, we want to realize who is truly glad for us. Who exactly are we?

Sharing sorrows is favorable

The people with whom we feel safe sharing our secrets, who share our joys, and who encourage us to achieve our goals. together with the difficulties. We ought to be more mindful while sharing our distresses.

While sharing our sorrows with the wrong people does harm us, sharing our happiness does not. It should be possible for those who listen to your sorrows to heal you and assist you.

Happiness is not real if not shared?

While happiness is a subjective experience and can be felt in a variety of ways, many people believe that it is not truly real unless it is shared with others. Sharing happiness can bring people closer together and create a positive, uplifting atmosphere. One of the best ways to share happiness with others is to focus on acts of kindness and generosity. Whether it’s donating time or resources to a charity, or simply complimenting someone and making them feel good about themselves, sharing happiness can have a ripple effect that spreads from person to person.

Another way to share happiness is to spend time with loved ones and create shared experiences. Whether it’s going on a trip, enjoying a meal together, or just spending quality time talking and laughing, these shared moments can create lasting memories and reinforce the bonds between people. This, however, is not universally true. Everyone has their own way of being happy, as we talked about. As a result, everyone may have their own unique approach to expressing or making the most of their happiness. Let’s look at an example to understand this:

Let’s understand this with an example-

Ankit is a man who works as a software engineer. He rarely interacts with anyone at his workplace because he is an introvert. There is only one person he knows. Ankit told his friend the following day that he had tied the knot with a girl. After that, his friend told all of their coworkers about it. Everyone in the office began congratulating Ankit at his desk as soon as he told everyone. Ankit became extremely awkward and enraged at his friend. Even more so, Ankit instructed him to refrain from disclosing anything he learned from him beginning today. I could do without to get encircled by individuals and stand out for reasons unknown.

Yes, there are individuals just like Ankit. It’s possible that they prefer not to share their joys and sorrows with others. They are content to be by themselves or only with the people with whom they are at ease. They might not trust other people for a variety of reasons, or they might have had bad experiences in the past. Someone might be content to be by themselves and adore keeping it to themselves. Therefore, we cannot impose the same definition of happiness on these individuals.

How is sharing related to happiness?

Let’s begin with my own illustration. Although I enjoy writing poetry, I rarely share it with others. Instead, I keep it to myself and only share it with two of my friends. The first thing I do after finishing writing is send them what I wrote.

They praise me for itself and even recommend it be something that can make it much better. They are no well known artists, creators, or something, however the words they say, appear valuable to me. I am most content with my work and happy when I receive texts from them.

There’s a difference between sharing and showing off

This does not imply that we should brag about our successes or joys. It is a huge misunderstanding. Like any other fundamental value we teach ourselves, sharing is important. We are happier as a result, and the listener feels more trustworthy. It fosters and builds positive relationships.

Even the person in front of us feels special when we enthusiastically share something with them. It could be anyone with whom you could share your joy. Your coworkers, neighbors, family, and friends

What to share?

Sharing does not require significant accomplishment or news. It could be little things that we do every day, either directly or indirectly. It could include: Children tell their mother what happened today at school, couples talk about how they spent the day, and friends talk about their memories. In a similar vein, it could be anything we do and share with those we care about.

What gives us true happiness?

There is a big difference between being truly content and just pretending to be content. The smile and feelings that accompany genuine happiness originate within. True happiness cannot be defined by the material possessions that temporarily satisfy us.

We might believe that happiness comes from spending time with loved ones, traveling for pleasure, or falling in love. But no, is your heart content while you’re doing these things? These are the questions you must ask yourself. You shouldn’t give any thought to anything else when you feel like these are the best times of your life. Your heart ought to be overflowing with contentment. You shouldn’t be feeling empty about anything else.

Essence of happiness

When you say you’re truly happy, you should feel like you’re in heaven. Nothing else should disturb the tranquility of your soul. True happiness is when this happens. Neither the things you have or the people you are surrounded by can bring you happiness. You have it in you. After creating it for yourself, you share it with others to make them happy.

Happiness is like a reward for the effort you’ve put in. You are supposed to be involved in that one thing if you want to be happy. It gives you the item’s true pleasure.
