द्रौपदी का अपहरण
पांडवों द्वारा जयद्रथ का पीछा ( द्रौपदी हरण )
After Arjuna’s return to Indraprastha after learning of Divyastra, the five Pandavas were staying with Draupadi in Kamyavan as their ashram, only once the five Pandavas had gone out for some work. In the ashram, only Draupadi, one of her maidservants and the priest were dhomya.
Coming to life of Jayadratha
One day, Jayadratha, the husband of Duryodhana’s sister, who was going to Shalva Desh for want of marriage, suddenly saw Draupadi standing at the door of the ashram and was enchanted by her. He stopped his army there and told his friend Kotikasya, ‘Kotik! Go and find out who is this beautiful girl? If I get this woman, then why do I need to go to Shalwa country for marriage? On hearing his friend, Kotikasya reached Draupadi and said, ‘O Kalyani! Who are you? Are you a nymph or Devakanya? ‘Draupadi replied,’ I am Draupadi, the wife of the five Pandavas known to the world. My husband is just about to arrive, so you people will accept his hospitality service and leave from here. You are requested to rest outside the hut till their arrival.

You are the wife of those people who move around in the forest and cannot provide you any kind of pleasure. You abandon the Pandavas and marry me and enjoy the kingdom of the entire Indus country. Hearing Jayadratha’s words, Draupadi cursed him very much, but Kamandha Jayadradh had no effect on her curse and dragged Draupadi powerfully and seated her in the chariot. When Guru Dhaumya came to protect Draupadi, Jayadratha slammed him on the ground there and started driving his chariot from there.
Pandavas chase Jayadratha
